Everyone quotes the subscription price. Nobody does the division. Here is what it costs per video, per week and per month, with the numbers written out.

The honest answer is between twenty and two hundred dollars a month, and which end you land on has almost nothing to do with which tools you pick. It depends on one thing: how often you post. Here is the arithmetic that decides it.

The credit maths
A sixty-second video is not one generation. It is eight to fifteen clips of eight seconds each, stitched together. That is the number that decides your bill.

Three realistic budgets
Testing the water: about $20 a month
Three videos a week, twelve a month, on the light tier of a single subscription. This is enough to learn the workflow, publish consistently and find out whether the niche is yours. Most people should start here and stay for a month.
Posting daily: $60 to $200 a month
Thirty videos a month leaves the included credits behind in the first ten days. From there you pay the API per second, and the tier you choose sets the bill: roughly $60 on the light tier, roughly $190 on the fast one. Most of your shots do not need the fast tier.
Running several channels: $200 to $500 a month
At two or three channels the cost scales almost linearly, because generation is the cost and it does not get cheaper in volume. What does scale is your time: the second channel takes half as long as the first, and the third takes a third.

- A scheduling tool, a logo, a domain or a newsletter. None of it moves views. Get to ten videos first.
The break-even
At $0.40 per 1,000 qualified views, a single video passing a million total views covers a year of subscription costs. That is the shape of this business: the monthly cost is small, flat and predictable, and the return is lumpy and arrives all at once. Budget for six months of the cost, not for the month in which it works.
